Rob Smart is a member of the Emerging Technologies Group located at IBM Hursley, he came to the team from a background of developing scalable high performance websites for large companies. He has an interest in all things Web 2.0 and more social networking site accounts than he can keep track of, this problem has recently given him an interest in OpenId which promises to make his web life easier on the memory. He’s also a big fan of Flickr and likes to sell pictures he takes at his gallery in Second Life where he goes by the name of Yossarian Seattle.

Rob’s an advocate of implementing things in the best possible manner for the job and doesn’t believe in using one particular technology for the sake of it.
