Ben has worked for IBM since Oct. 2001, Starting out as a level 3 service engineer for the IBM Java Virtual Machine. This role puts him in contact with the large range of software products produced by IBM and their customers.

Recently Ben have joined the Emerging Technology and Services team where we take the latest technology from research and find customers who want to work with it.

As well as the day job, Ben created the IBM internal service known as IBM Micro Blogging Platform (IMBP). IMBP is a enterprise MicroBlogging environment that allowed IBMers to experiment with this technology as well as it being used by IBM research to investigate the differences between public and corporate social networking. He also enjoys cooking and works hard to burn it all off.
