Some of us from Hursley are in New York at the moment for an ITA workshop. It’s a chance to catch up with the work thats going on in other projects and the research that the rest of the teams are carrying out. Tha main areas that us Emerging Tech people are involved with are social networks, planning, collaboration and sensor networks.

[...] Currently in New York for some work stuff. We got here a day early so spent Sunday in the city. Pete and Dave hadn’t been up to the top of the Rockerfeller Center before, so we did that. Although it isn’t the Empire State building, I prefer it. It’s much slicker, there aren’t long queues and I think the views (especially over Central Park) are better. You also get a good view of the Empire State building. [...]
